Hello, dear Greenfeet friends! May the grass be soft under your steps!
It's been a productive week coming to a close, with 27 tasks completed, a personal record! The priority was given to bug hunting and content additions, as I'm still aiming to have a playable build ready for October 27th.
Balanced Time
I'm glad to have finally fixed two issues: spring and summer being too close in term of design and a year taking too long in real time. It took something like 8 hours at max speed to complete a year, it now takes 2 hours and 20 minutes.
- Summer has been removed (I've always dreamed of saying that).
- Spring has been renamed to "Warm Season" and lasts 12 days.
- Fall has been renamed to "Storm Season" and lasts 8 days.
- Winter has been renamed to "Cold Season" and lasts 8 days.
- Days now last 15 minutes at regular speed.
Early Game's Content
- The crafts and furniture of the first "technological tier" have been configured. I won't expand much because it would be a spoiler.
- All the cultivable seeds can now be obtained through normal means in the game.
Bugfixes
- FIXED: The first right-click was not being registered.
- FIXED: Discovery icons no longer stack in an unreadable way.
- FIXED: Stumps are now automatically cut by the forestry area.
- FIXED: A regression that prevented plant growth has been resolved.
- FIXED: The sleep icon for a Greenfeet sometimes remained active after waking up.
- FIXED: Greenfeet tended to move endlessly to avoid stacking.
- FIXED: Transport tasks could not be canceled.
- FIXED: Clicking on the inventory zone selector caused the game to crash.
- FIXED: Greenfeet appeared misaligned on their beds.
- FIXED: It was possible to stack multiple sowing tasks on the same tile.
- FIXED: Greenfeet prioritized sleeping on the ground too often, even with an available bed.
- FIXED: Some items were never transported to an available storage element.
- FIXED: It was possible to create zones and place jobs in an unexplored area.
- FIXED: Sometimes drop spots would disappear if they were filled.
That's a wrap for this week. Thank you for reading!
