Hello, dear Greenfeet friends! May the grass be soft beneath your feet!

Time has been flying by at an astonishing speed lately. That's why this blog post will be short! I'm hard at work to stay on schedule and release the game's first demo in two weeks, on March 21st!

The new crafting UI

The main focus now is on accessibility and making the game easier to understand. Huge thanks to all the testers this week for their valuable feedback. The biggest change this week is the removal of the drop spot in favor of a storage system based solely on zones.

  • Added: Trees will periodically spawn branches.
  • Added: Big rocks will periodically spawn stones.
  • Added: Added label under discoveries and ability to skip the animation.
  • Added: The discovery bench now supports drag and drop.
  • Added: Items placed in the discovery bench can be taken back.
  • Added: Sub-menu to create zones faster.
  • Added: Ability to minimize the tutorial.

Changes

  • Changed: Drop spots have been removed in favor of zone-based settings.
  • Changed: Game now starts unpaused if tutorials are disabled.
  • Changed: UI tweaks to avoid confusion on the "Dismantle" button on furnitures.
  • Changed: Tutorial buttons are more visible.
  • Changed: Started re-working the crafting UI.

Fixes

  • Fixed: Moving out items not taking into account some jobs.
  • Fixed: Zones not being deindexed when deleted.
