Weekly progress #47

Greenfeet Haven

Hello, dear Greenfeet friends! May the grass be soft beneath your feet!

Another productive and fulfilling week has passed, giving me high morale as we approach the holiday season. Over the past few days, I've dedicated significant time to developing a major feature that will greatly enhance the gameplay experience: automatic equipment management.

From now on, Greenfeet will automatically fetch the tools they need for their tasks. This brings two key benefits:

  1. No more frustration for new players! There will no longer be moments where tools are available on the map, yet your Greenfeet remain idle, unsure of what to do.
  2. Reduced micromanagement. You'll no longer need to manually swap outfits or tools depending on whether you're focusing on tasks like woodcutting or construction.

As always, you can find the full patch notes for the alpha below.

Looking ahead, the next game update and its associated weekly progress report will be on January 10th. I'm planning to take a full week off to rest, followed by a lighter week of work that likely won't generate enough content for an update.

In the meantime, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season! I'm excited to see what 2025 has in store for us and for Greenfeet Haven.

Thank you for reading this post, and have a fantastic week, everyone!
